Hi Jarrard,
Here are six new designs for the underworld creatures.
About the final presentation of the sketches for Saturday, I wanted to know if I should just refine those sketches and the presentation, or should I make a selection of 5-8 sketches between all the ones I've made so far? (last week + this week)

Nice Angeline. The submission should be whichever 5-8 sketches you choose from all the ones you've done so far. So if you think there were some cool ideas from last weeks that you want to include you could combine them with these ones.
ReplyDeleteI really like these designs so far, there is a lot of potential here. What I like is that with a lot of them I can see them having multiple states (like you've shown in #5) that could be super iconic.
I really like 2,3 and 5 for this reason. 2 and 3 I can see have cool shapes in their flying position and clear ways of "capturing". #5 I think has a cool strong silhouette in this form but I can also imagine it floating around and opening up to a different shape as well.
#1 could also be good for this, perhaps when it is perched on something and the back wings and tails are folded in, it has a super geometrical silhouette and almost doesn't look like a creature to contrast with when it is flying.
4 and 5 have cool shapes but perhaps if you include them in your submission, you could add some more indication on how they function. Just because they're such abstract shapes, it could help.
Some great explorations here. If you want to try some more you can. Don't worry about refining them too much as we will do that in the next stage. The level of finish you have here is fine.
